I would have to disconnect the KB dongle and log into Mac OS X before reconnecting for it to work. Recently the keyboard would stop working after a reboot. Connected to the laptop I have a Dell 2709WFP via HDMI, a Logitech MX Revolution mouse and a Logitech DiNovo Edge. Therefore, I really recommend this keyboard. I have a Mid 2009, 17' MacBook Pro 5,2 with Mac OS X 10.6.7. Overall though I really enjoy the keyboard, my desk looks much cleaner, it uses less space and my laptop is in a better position for all-day working. Clearly, I can use the laptop keyboard for the odd occasion when I need this, but it would be nice to have this available on the keyboard. The second more permanent reason is that some functions just aren't available like teh Windows 'Print Screen' function. The keys do feel a little soft for my liking though. don't give up too early, it is worth persevering as you will probably eventually get used to it and then really enjoy it). Maybe I just needed to be more patient with it? (i.e. I reduced the rating by 1 star as I found my typing accuracy initially dropped and it has taken longer than I expected to fully adapt to it, but now I think it is working quite well. I used Migration Assistant to move my home directory and apps over from an 8 year old Mac Pro that originally started out running I upgraded that OS to and then to So I migrated from x to. So the basic premise of the keyboard is fulfilled 100%. As these age, this is, sadly, a widespread problem with the Logitech receiver. You can also look for a visual tutorial of this on youtube / google.

The pairing is super-simple and switching between 3 connected bluetooth devices via the dedicated buttons is extremely simple and reliable. Once the chip and the USB port are properly touching again you will see the receiver show up in the Mac Systems USB panel and in Logitech Control Center, as others pointed out. The keyboard is verycompact with small-ish keys.
